LL (Language Lounge) Trial Session Held

Update:2025.11.20

On Monday, November 17, 2025, a Language Lounge (LL) Trial Session was held at Hōryū Hall on the Tobata Campus.

This event was designed for Kyutech students and international students who had not yet experienced LL. Participants had the opportunity to try various programs offered at the LL, such as OpenTalk (group conversation), EnglishTalk (beginner/intermediate English conversation), and JapaneseTalk (Japanese conversation).

The session began with an icebreaker game called “Who Am I?”. Each participant held a card with a word—such as an animal or a famous person—on their forehead and asked simple questions in English to guess what was written. Everyone worked together to find the correct answers, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

After the icebreaker, participants moved to different booths to experience OpenTalk, EnglishTalk, and JapaneseTalk. They enjoyed conversations in English and Japanese on topics such as “Places I want to visit” and “Things I want to try.”

The event also featured a special session in which LL instructor Mr. Tanabe shared his experiences working overseas as an engineer under the theme “Working Abroad as an Engineer.” Students interested in working abroad asked many questions, making this session an inspiring opportunity for them.

After the event, participants were seen exchanging contact information and talking with students who had study-abroad experience, making the session a valuable opportunity for building new connections.
